Dwarfs

Bearded (except for the females), grumpy and inclined to drink heavily, Citadel produced several ranges of dwarfs starting in their inital releases in 1979.
These are the solid based ones produced before the introduction of the slotta base in 1985.
The last solid based Dwarf released was the Golden Heroes Dwarf, part of the GH1 Superheroes box, in December 1984.
Many of these Dwarfs were re-released on the Original Dwarfs / Judge Dredd Flyer in 1987.

I have skipped the FTD range for now, as most of mine are 80s tabletop quality and need some TLC before venturing onto the internet.
